Once a bowling alley (Decrepit lanes and all), it is a dive bar that plunges depths unknown to man or space aliens or college students. It is sort of like a sinister Pee-Wee's Playhouse and I would never want to see that place with the lights on. But I will definitely be returning, and dragging all my shiny Hollywood friends with me.

I came in to see New London and was pleased to see BIZZART's name on the roster for the night.
As I've recently collected a new batch of pals in Highland Park, one by one familiar faces filed in through the door. That's why I never worry about going somewhere alone. I will inevitably meet up with someone I know.
New London was great. Second time I've seen them and I like them even more. They sound good and they look good, and drew up a crowd where the floor had been empty. They have four songs on their MySpace and each one makes your legs itch for the dance, even as I sit at my desk at work. I would definitely check out their show dates and hit one up.

I ran into Art (Of BIZZART). I am always running into Art. I met him at the Vermont House. He looked at me in the doorway and asked if he knew me. I had said, "Would you like to?" and he smiled.
I'd never seen him perform before, however, and I was absolutely blown away. His music is rage robot psychedelic art rap. I didn't know that sort of voice could come out of such a petite man. At one point he even turned his bike into an instrument, and I was 100% sold.

But one of the strangest acts of the evening was Mad HaPPy. I would have left, but I met Mike of the duo who label themselves "electro-pop/hip-hop," and he asked me to take some photos.
I found myself strangely drawn to the music, unsure if it was serious or not, unsure if they were serious or not, and overall felt like I was on a very strange computer-boxed-instrument time-warp acid trip...or something.
I don't know if I liked the music, and I couldn't safely recommend it to anyone I know, but I.... I mean, just look at their site. Words fail me.

Got home, showered, and up and down, straight into Wednesday.
I have no coffee for tomorrow and to say I am distressed is a gross understatement.
