The party started on Thursday night, when I attended the closing reception for my friend's Greschagen Popenko exhibit at USC. Artists Renata Popenhagen and Maria Greschenko collaborated on a multimedia installation piece aiming to create the sensation of stumbling into a painting. It was an ambitious piece, crawling up the walls like some sort of sleekly colored modern art ivy.
And only Renata can turn an art closing into a full on dance party - I loved it!

From there it was onto my next adventure at Cosmic Bang.
The vibe was cool, the music was good, and the kids were dancing!

Friday night I cut out early, having spent a luxurious day off in bed.
But that was only to gear up for Saturday night's D.A.N.C.E. to the Underground! Which was amazing as always!
Ben is my inspiration for life - I don't think I've ever seen this guy without a smile! I'm so lucky to have fallen into the Dance Crew - it's like a wonderful neon family!

And then Sunday night was Lorena's birthday bash, with Not The Government making a truly rock star exit. The night ended on a rather unexpected note, but quickly adapted to a bonfire party at the Bixel house. A bonfire that someone decided to throw a lighter into, which erupted into a massive instantaneous fire ball. Yeah - crazy times! It flared up for only a second, and since no one got hurt, I'll say it was sort of awesome to see.
Unfortunately, no photos of the evening exist because, well, like I said...the night progressed rather unexpectedly!
Don't forget! Birthday party on Saturday!!!
