This clip from A Family Finds Entertainment is one of my favorite new things.
Stick with it. I promise it's worth it.
On Saturday I got home and rode around on my bike gathering materials for C.R.A.N.K. Mob and my Tribe of Riders. What does one bottle of Goldschläger, various trinkets from the 99 Cents Only Store, and seven bicycles equal? It equals the Disco Vampires, riding out to the west side for one of the most fun rides ever!
It was a lot of my friends' first big ride, and with a seven mile ride out to the meet up, I realized as we headed out that I was sort of responsible for their lives! Leading everyone out was both a daunting and an exhilarating task, and I can see myself eventually forming and leading a ride. Fortunately, everyone made it out alive and had a good time, so I'm pleased.
I found it most rewarding to host a bunch of riders and their bikes!
On Sunday night I went downtown with a friend for VOICEsVOICEs' tour kick off show! I assisted with their merchandise booth, in the process meeting Eugene and the 1914 and Start Fires. Collaborating with artists from other bands around town (Most notably 60-Watt Kid and Halloween Swim Team), VOICEsVOICEs directed an experimental musical creation. The effect was that of swimming through a soundscape, which was both lush and alien, electric and raw, and dove effortlessly into the subconscious.
Which was a perfect way to seep into Monday morning.
