Monday: Photos: Halloween, Heart On, (Som)

Oh my, have I an abundance of photographs to show you!

And as I do, I will enjoy my gorgeous, rather green dinner. To my surprise and for no apparent reason, I've started (light) cooking. What I mean is I find a bunch of pieces at Trader Joe's and then put them together. Maybe that isn't really cooking, but today I combined the Pizza Margherita with the Tofurky Italian sausage, heirloom tomatoes, and spinach. Add a touch of olive oil to the crust for some crunch (A trick a friend taught me) and now you've got something beautiful!

Combine that with some perfectly ripe avocado drizzled in olive oil and vinegar and sprinkled with salt and pepper, and a gin based lemon, mint, and cucumber drink, and I've got this lovely dinner!

Halloween was too much fun to recount right here, and the photos say more than I ever could, but I am beginning to learn why adults love the holiday so much. It is an opportunity to dress up, don a new persona, and act behind a mask. I was invited to come shoot at REDRUM, a collaborative effort between Partygirls, Inc, Heart On, and Tank Tuesdays. It was a tremendous amount of fun, and a lot of that had to do with everyone's desire to have a good time.

I guess you might call my costume Courtney Love meets Romeo+Juliet?

Before and after REDRUM, I spent time with some friends at a more intimate party.

The most accomplished part of my evening was beating the Hollywood traffic on my ways to and fro!

The next day I was very lazy and I spent it lying on a friend's couch and watching TV with my head in a haze. I didn't start to do anything until five, I took a nap at six, and then headed out to Heart On around eleven.

And here are photos from the last (Som). (Som)'s future is a little uncertain right now, but last time I had a lot of fun, and Orlando Greenhill was an experience I shan't forget. Why are elementary school music teachers some of the most wild people in the world? And why didn't I have a music teacher like Orlando Greenhill?

It was an awesome weekend, more awesome than I ever could have expected, but gosh! Daylight Savings is sure throwing me off!
