As I said in the video, I really despise Time Warner, and after a couple of years of dissatisfying service & creeping rates, I've finally switched to AT&T. Naturally, however, the cancellation process is a tangled tangled web, fraught with sneaky charges & strangled information. Not surprisingly, Time Warner & I have been engaged in a small sortie after a bill for $82 showed up after I had returned my modem & paid my remaining balance (& was assured multiple times that was that).
I persisted with them through their live chat support, threatening to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (A surprisingly effective weapon). Today I was victorious, not only because I succeeded in totally closing my account, but because I no longer owe them that $82 bill (And rightly so). The process, however, proceeded quite amusingly, and as promised, the transcript is here.
In party news, I really hope you can make it to my birthday party! I have my dress & my shoes, which, by the way, are so cute & so (Surprisingly!) comfortable, and I managed to get them marked down from $89 to $40!
Need a little more coaxing? Then have a listen. Still not convinced? Then listen some more.
See? There you go.
Have a good weekend!
